The Publishing Hut

A cabin open to voices, stories and passages

Against palaces, villas and publishing houses, we propose a simple cabin: a light, passionate and open space where books try less to occupy space than to open passages between worlds.

Spirit of the hut

A simple cabin, not an empire

Between giant publishing groups, small independent houses fighting to survive, and the countless actors of self-publishing competing for scraps, the book world is saturated. There is little space left. Thankfully, we are not trying to claim much of it.

The hut was not born to grow endlessly, but to stand by a few texts with care, publish sparingly, and let each book find its own form, rhythm and readers.

One tree at the edge of a forest would be enough, a place to build a simple cabin where we can meet, share ideas, dreams and disappointments.

A place within the intimacy of a canopy, where we can step away from noise for a moment, look at the world differently, catch our breath, then return with a little more energy and inspiration.

Against palaces, villas and publishing houses, we propose a simple cabin.

Editorial line

More gradient than line

Our editorial policy is closer to a gradient than a line. We prefer to remain alert and open rather than lock ourselves into prefabricated categories or convenient labels.

We do not pretend to hold a final answer on what deserves to be published. We mainly look for texts that let in air, thought, trouble and landscape.

The hut may be discreet, but it remains open to the world, and open to worlds. It requires no entry visa, only a little good faith, a taste for passages, and the desire to help meaningful voices circulate.

A chosen hideout, never a closed one.

Margins and edges

We stay attentive to writers from extra-European Francophone worlds, first-time authors, less established voices and forms that grow where the dominant gaze lands less often.

Passages between forms

The hut welcomes movement between literature, poetry, image, reflection, travel notes and worldly narrative, without trying to lock these forms into rigid categories.

Bridges rather than borders

We look for books able to shift perception, let distant worlds speak to one another and open bridges where others prefer to build partitions.

A place that brings back a sense of childhood, secret codes and freedom, while remaining open enough to welcome those who want to climb the ladder.
